The company name is Finesco. It is a new company. The goal of the company is to reduce its customers' total energy cost. To this end Finesco will identify energy savings measures at the customer's premises. Finesco will finance these measures, and will be paid back by (part of) the energy savings generated. Once Finesco's investment has been fully paid back by the savings generated, the customer becomes the owner of the measures and will benefit from the savings. In general this is called the ESCO approach. ESCO stands for Energy Service Company. Finesco is a contraction of Financing and Esco. Indeed, financing of the measures is key in Finesco's activities, but Finesco aims to add more value than just financing: also project development, engineering, contracting, project management, realization and asset management are key activities.
Typical target customers are industrial companies or large building owners - so rather large B2B customers. Finesco will NOT be active on the residential market. A typical project could be the development and financing of a cogeneration unit providing heat (steam) and power (electricity) to a factory. Or another project could be the retrofitting of the heating installation in a large building, combined with extra wall insulation and possibly solar panels on the roof. So we are talking about rather large and complex projects.
The image Finesco wants to transmit to its customers, is an image of quality, transparency, ownership (we take care of the customer's problem from a to z), flexibility and partnership. We want to build a real partnership with our customers with aligned interests - this is the only way to make such complex projects work. A project typically lasts 5 to 15 years, so we are in a long term relationship.
