The MDGS were put in place to tackle developmental issues in developing countries. 8 goals were set with indicators and a target for realizing the goals by 2015.
2 years to the end of the MDG programs and most countries are yet to accomplish their goals.
Corporate Tithes is an initiative to raise awareness and funds from businesses to address the faltering of the MDGS before 2015. It is a simple concept of businesses contributing a percentage of their profits or a fixed amount towards MDGs programs annually. The initiative will last till 2015 and companies that sign up to the initiative will make donations up to 2015 only.
