For some people, life revolves around music. With more than 600 songs in my iPod, I can safely say that I am one of them. Other than downloading music off the internet and looking for new songs when flicking channels on the TV, I have recently resorted to attending music festivals to discover new kinds of music. They are an amazing platform to find new artists and musicians.
When I attended my first music festival, I was mesmerized by the experience and could not wait to tell my music-loving friends about it. Unfortunately, my excited rambles were not enough to convince them of the awesomeness of the event. I wanted them to tag along with me to the next festival happening in New York so that we could enjoy the music together. It looked so cool and inviting with a colorful website. I wasn't sure if this event would be just as good as I one I attended until I saw the brilliantly designed website along with the details of the music bands that would be performing.
It finally dawned upon me that I should probably stop pestering my friends with verbal accounts of the experience I had and just share the website of the upcoming music festival with them. So I smartly shared the website on Facebook and tagged them in the post. By the end of day they were all ready to accompany me. That's when I realized the importance of creating an interesting online profile which includes website and logo designs. I'm glad the music industry is aware of this trait and is using it to their advantage. This article will show you some examples of websites that belong to music festivals happening in New York in the year 2014. My point for sharing these is to show you how they have used powerful music festival graphic emblems to create websites which actually attract music enthusiasts into visiting their events. If you are planning on arranging a music festival or event, then this is definitely a direction which you can take to ensure visitors.
Happening in Hancock, NY on September 5-7, 2014 the Catskill Chill Music Festival will have a variety of performances such as jam bands, reggae music, funk, jazz, bluegrass, electronica and rock and roll.
This one is number one on my list even though it has a super-sized logo design on the home page. I'm usually against such grand displays of graphics but this one has won me over with the overall bright and colorful look of the website.
Governors Ball Music Festival will take place in New York City, NY from June 6-8, 2014. The festival will feature artists such as Empire of the Sun, Jack White, Phoenix, Skrillex, Sleigh Bells, The Bloody Beetroots, TV on the Radio, Vampire Weekend and many more.
Another colorful website with very easily accessible details - it's visually appealing as well as user friendly which makes a wonderful example for an effective website.
WHERE: Bethel, NY
WHEN: May 23-25, 2014
This is the first Mysteryland festival happening in America and is scheduled from May 23-25, 2014 in Bethel, NY. The website boasts of the festival as being "culturally immersive" which sounds very tempting to a music lover like me. The festival offers its visitors a very unique musical journey by combining music with theatre, movies and street performers.
This website is a bit of a mystery land indeed, with its catchy taglines on the side which make you want to click on them. Other than that the website is colorful and uses the color of the logo to effectively woo their audience and create a fantastic looking website.
Mountain Jam is a four-day event, which will hit Hunter Mountain, NY from June 5-8, 2014. The event will feature almost 50 bands on 3 stages. The festival promises a fantastic experience by featuring some exciting artists and bands and has been frequently talked about in Rolling Stones magazine and other popular musical publications.
This one is not as colorful as the others but still does its job well. The black background gives it a somber feel but the logo on top with a scenic background makes up for it. The guitars peeking from the side hint at the kind of music that will be played at the event.
I am sure the above have given you some ideas on how to get your next music festival emblem designed for your website or marketing collaterals to market your event.
