This logo represents a non-profit charity that provides services to veterans who reside in the Commonwealth of Virginia (State of Virginia located in the United States). The audience should be able to understand that we support veterans from Virginia. This charity provides help to veterans who need health, home, education or employment services to help them reintegrate into society after a combat deployment.
Colors may reflect the state flag or be patriotic. May consider using the crossed sabres that are used by the University of Virginia. May also use the image of the state itself. Images of a shield , belt buckle or dog tag may be of interest. May have a military look or feel but not to complex. May use colors but black and white might be of interest as well. Logo will be used on web, hats, t-shirts and sweatshirts.

military or defense influence, swords, shields, the image of the state in white across black VAVETS, maybe the state on top of VAVETS, maybe use the UVA logo as a starting point and play with the VAVETS organization of letters. Due to not orange and blue as colors.
