UMMA Community Clinic Logo Contest

UMMA Community Clinic

No

UMMA is redefining healthcare for the people of South Los Angeles by applying the ethical, financial, and social teachings of Islam to the problems of caring for the underserved. Our Federally Qualified Health Center provides comprehensive family care that rivals the best private care in Los Angeles, and we do it for everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

Green for sure and light brown. We would like to stay in the Earth tone / pastel family.

2

We would like to give the designers two options:

1) Enhance our current logo on our website: www.ummaclinic.org. Make it look much nicer, the current design does a poor illustration of community through usage of 4 green aliens on the moon :(

Or 2) Create a new logo, which will emphasize the Islamic heritage using Islamic motifs and the element of community / care.

*** On our current logo we liked how it was easier to read UMMA and that UMMA is the main focus.
*** We would like the font to be san serif, giving it a modern feel
*** We would like to logo not to get to complicated, better to keep it on the simpler side.
*** Last but not least, we do not care for the traditional health care look with the blue serpent. We are looking for our own unique identity.

This is a hand full, truly looking forward to the designers work. Good luck team.

Greetings Designers: UMMA would humbly like to thank you for all of your efforts as each one of you have excellent design skills and provided amazing ideas. Since we have two days remaining, I would like to request one last direction, which in my opinion is most likely the easiest of all of my other request. I would like you to make our current logo look much sharper/nicer. Here are the guide lines: 1) Keep the crescent. 2) Keep the people on the crescent but make them look better, not the green aliens they are not. You don't have to make them look real but better version of community. 3) Font selection. Give us two options, one I would like you to use Trojan Pro. and second I will leave up to you as to what you think would look nice! 4) Color: Green and orange. Thank you again for all of your designs. Kindest regards, UMMA Clinic

For all the designers who have incorporated the "arc" look, please make sure the design does not start looking like a hat. To address this issue, make the brim/base of the hat straight.

Designers: Thank each and one of you for your sincere effort. I am going to extend the dead line, so let those creative juices flow, as we still have time. I would suggest looking into my suggest ideas and comments on other designer, that should give very good direction. Kindest regards!

Hello Firekarma, #117 I like the way this logo is also headed, nice evolution. Can you try making the people in the design little different. Maybe try emphasizing care. or try a different style to communicate people. Curious, how where this will go. Thanks

Ladies and Gents, we are getting warm but not hot yet. I would like some new ideas and to help you out, I am going to start giving some sample ideas. Make sure you UMMAfy the design and not just put our organization name next to the idea I am presenting. I like the little arc with logo on top concept, UMMAfy it! http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/408 This one is close to our current logo. I would try to make the family much better than the way it looks now. http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/10731 Maybe make the arc on this more Islamic. http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/7807 Good use of a crescent: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/10338 I like the format of this logo and the arc: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/12444 May implement a crescent & community in this format: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/2257 UMMAafy this design with an arc on top and show care: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/12187 Another crescent design: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/11822 UMMAfy this with a crescent & care: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/6158 This is just to funny, the designer must have underwear in mind. Please do not use this: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/9715 UMMAfy this with an arc & care/community: http://99designs.com/logo-design/store/10106

Hello Team: Since we are in the non-profit world of helping people, let try using visualize "care" an alternative for community.

Liwaraya, I like your usage of font, Trojan pro. That seems to be working. The Islamic pattern is very creative but it is too busy. your 108 logo is nice, but try getting rid of the book below the arc. and try using different representation on of community as it looks like a football running back with a ball.

Correctlogo: I see where you are going with this logo, but it is hard to make out the mother figure and child. Also try using an abstract arc rather than a full arc.

Firekarma, #99 does a good job with the clean arc look in general. Give me a couple of other versions/style of this kind of look.

Hi Designers, few pointers: 1) Be subtle and creative in using the arc style, without having to look like a mosque :) 2) Color: Try using green & orangish brown. Thank You

Hello Designers, we would like you to try implement an arc look into the design. Instead of using patterns, Arc's are another artistic way of Islamic representation. I would keep it simple and use the silhouette of the arc over the design and a sense of community: Here are some references for to Arc designs: http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-8712130-iranian-ancient-window.php http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-6361571-medina-wall-with-door.php http://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-4937896-photographer-at-safdarjung-tomb.php
