The Orange County Adult Achievement Center ( www.ocaac.com) is poised to re-name itself to My Day Counts and eventually will use a number of similar monikers such as My Family Counts and My Cup Counts ( www.mycupcounts.org ) for marketing and communication.

We are very happy with the mycupcounts.org logo developed previous by you and feel this conveys the contemporary look of our coffee packaging workshop for disabled adults.

My Day Counts will be the larger umbrella organization and we feel the name My Day Counts speaks broadly to how our agency serves our clients but also how we serve our employees.

Our Agency is 63 years old but the work we do has always been contemporary to the current needs of disabled adults.

Our goal is to refresh the logo identity and name for the Orange County Adult
Achievement Center (OCAAC) with a modern look that illustrates the history of the organization, but continues to serve as a timeless brand of commitment to the community for years to come.

We feel that in the My Cup Counts logo the use of the font Harabara Regular and colors help support this contemporary message. We want the new My Day Counts logo to feel connected to My Cup Counts but be separate in identity as it will serve as the larger organization.

Since our training and mentoring programs are the path to independence. We believe logos and illustrations that use stairs or climbing do not work as they are barriers to persons who use wheelchairs and are not ambulatory.

We are excited to see how you think this logo project out for us and look forward to the review.
THANK YOU! Dave Kooi

Another good comment came in ... that hands or the shape of a hand is also valuable in the viewer quickly understanding our work with people.

Hi Dana, We reviewed last night and again this morning ... we again love the figures and find the arm reaching most compelling (draft #5) than arms together (draft 1,2,3). We think two or three individuals working together or helping each other (symbolically) may also work ... and though we said a stair case is not good w do think some perceived movement possibly helping up a hill also demonstrates achievement and speaks to growth and movement, reward, growth among our clients. www.ocaac.com and www.mycupcounts.org. As for colors we would like a complimentary set of colors that work with the mycupcounts.org logo but not the same colors as this logo for mydaycounts will serve the larger oranization. since this agency is over 60 years old but the work we do contemporary possibly a darker color set may work ... but a color set that works will with the blue orange. we love the same use of the font which we think carries a modern look and speaks to the other logo as well excellent! Regarding the two designs we rated the highest (Draft #5 and #6) the elements we responded to were figures reaching and arms open ... they both felt joyous. The star at the tip of the hands doesn't work for us but we feel interaction between figures does. Thanks so much - and we look forward to the next review :-)
