Simple, clean design that reflects a community of faith that is inclusive and caring. It is a diverse, grassroots organization that is connected to God and we are connected to each other and to the community at large by our faith.

What colors would you like?

Color scheme - We would like to stay with the PCUSA blue, red and white color scheme (it can be viewed at http://oga.pcusa.org/permission.htm). It keeps us consistent and connected to the Presbyterian Church USA. Not sure if this would be considered a 2 or 3 color design.

How many colors do you want in your design?

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

Font style - We would like it to be clean and modern, without the fancy curly cues, etc, but not a bold art deco.
With or without embellishments (cross, church, etc)? - We believe that we want something - On the top of the list - the simplified PCUSA logo with the cross and the flames. The trick is keeping it clean and simple so it translates from the website to stationary, t-shirts, in color or grayscale, looks good large and small. We like the idea of somehow using circles - but do not want words going around a circle. Possibly something with motion to it. We also have a specific style cross on top of our church - that is also a possiblility for incorporation - it can be seen in video that is available on our website at www.svpc.org - video can be accessed on the icon in the right column.

Just to clarify - if you are using a cross - we are only interested in the PCUSA cross that can be viewed by following the link in the brief. There are rules about use of the PCUSA cross and one of them is that it cannot be altered. The primary color palette is also listed there. We are looking for something unique that defines us and does not look like canned art that we could have put together on our own.

We want the tag-line separate from graphic images - not intertwined - It can be above, below, beside - we would leave that up to the designer.

Just a quick question to clarify... If stating that the whole logo is made up of an image and text... when you say you want the tag line to be a part of the logo... do you mean to say that you want it integrated graphically into the image itself, or is having it "under" the image itself ok? Or alternately, are you ok of just having it "around" somewhere in the entire logo? Thanks! :) cdnmike

#1 It looks like you didn't read the brief. We do not want words in circles and that is not the colors specified. The stars and the cross are a miss...it looks canned.
