NCAA Parody

NCAA

No

The NCAA is the governing body that oversees 23 different sports and athletic championships at 1,200 + colleges and universities in the US and Canada.

North American college sports fans are fed up with the NCAA and feel it should change the way they do business. The public feel that it doesn't create and enforce rules well, and it doesn't investigate issues in a timely or effective way. An ESPN writer once called them as "nimble as a dairy cow", and Joe Nocera of the New York Times said just a few weeks ago that they have a serious ethics problem.

We at MycroBurst love sports. So designers, let's see those NCAA logo parodies! Design the NCAA logo so that it reflects what is really going on in the spirit of a bit of creative, spiky fun. Maybe your design will give sports fans a giggle, and also get the NCAA to sit up and take notice that sports fans aren't so happy with the way they conduct themselves!

Here is a definition of parody: an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

Here are 3 main issues you can focus on:
· Ignoring schools paying student athletes to come play for their school
· Punishing Schools and players for things that don’t deserve punishment
· Ignoring rules they make just to make more profit.

I'm a logo with a dollar sign set first, and it looked better than this.

Hello Designers, We noticed a lot of you were asking for a little more direction on this project. The NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) is the organization that oversees collegiate athletics in the United States and some of Canada. They’ve been in the news a lot lately over the way they handle their business. Mainly turning their backs to the very rules they create. We want to make fun of the NCAA for this with a parody logo. What we mean by parody is to exaggerate on their problems in an attempt to make fun of them. Please follow this link to examples of parodies of popular brands: http://speckyboy.com/2011/11/24/funny-logo-parodies-that-will-bring-a-smile-to-your-face/ Keep up the great work!

I'm going to try and help some of you out. The NCAA has nothing to do with paying athletes. They are just the organization that is in charge of making the rules, penalties and consequences that go along with paying athletes My Logo with the dollar sign in it is in reference to the NCAA not caring about about these rules and penalties. They focus more on how much money they can make... opposed to making the right decision in bettering college athletics There is a big difference in the NCAA making bribes with money and making money by bad business Thanks, big red22

The point is to make fun of the NCAA. They have been in the news a lot lately for having bad policies, ignoring rules they create and turning their shoulder to student athletes getting paid to play (which is not allowed). We want you to make fun of them for that.

"If your design has been eliminated it means you're missing the point. " But - what IS the point? Must be a location joke - I don't get it.

Hello designers! Remember we are looking for a parody logo. This means we want you to play off of the original logo, but make fun of the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) and the way they handle their business. Be sure to check out examples of parodies by following this link: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/logo-parodies/ If your design has been eliminated it means you're missing the point. If you have been eliminated don't give up :), try to submit some more concepts making fun of the NCAA. Keep up the great work!

Attention Designers!! MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files. Thanks, MB/LDG/LS Team

Hi everyone! Please be sure to read the creative brief. This is not a logo redesign. It is a parody logo design, which means an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect. Here are some examples: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/logo-parodies/
