Describe who/what this design is about

the logo is meant to represent the association of golfers (~ 90 men) who join the association. the weekly events are typically 9-holes of golf in various formats/pairings over 34 weeks from spring to fall each year. logo will appear on apparel, hats, banners, flyers, etc. hope to convey camaraderie, friendly competition, fun golf events and contests.

looking for a few options similar to these below.
the basic logo is a take-off of the RYDER CUP logo (google that image)... two crossed flags (RED and YELLOW/GOLD) behind a center object
possible center objects - 1) outline / shadowed of the State of Texas, 2) a Golf Ball, 3) other Texas themed object?
in place the Grey Rock Golf Club logo design in the center of the center object see uploads... as grey rock logo design artwork is simple, feel free to add outline, shading or other emphasis in background or foreground to make sure it is visible.
