Gold Squad

Best of the best, representing Australia on and off the field.

The Gold Squad are the elite and high performing athletes that can represent Australia in sport. The logo should represent the excellence, prestige and dynamic energy of these athletes. Athletes feel proud to be part of the Gold Squad and want to be recognised as a Gold Squad member. The Gold Squad are leaders and role models for everyone. They are always representing Australia, on and off the field. Other athletes aspire to become a squad member.

Gold should definitely be included as part of the design. Black is a colour to consider. Typically Australia’s colours are green and gold but we are open to a new direction.

• The logo will be used for sports attire and through various communications/media.
• Initially this logo will be used for lawn bowls but will extend to other sports in the future.
• The logo should be able to be printed in black and/or white if required.
• No cartoon characters please.
• We are a not-for-profit national sporting organisation that manages the national leagues and national championships for various sports. The Gold Squad is a pilot elite athlete program, whereby athletes will be identified and developed for future Australian representation.
• We WILL choose a winner, but may take a little extra time to respond since we are not-for-profit and have limited staffing.

    A couple of comments for all the designers. We've noticed that the designs which do include gold are definitely the direction we want to head in so please keep those coming! Some of the gold do appear better than others, some are a bit muddy. Also to help your design process, we'd like to see some options with fonts without rounded edges. Hope this helps.

    Draft #1: Your design looks fantastic when on a black background. It really stands out and is sophisticated. At the moment however, it is difficult to see on a white background. Is there something you can do to make it standout better on a white background? Draft #8: This comment would also apply to your design. It looks fantastic and also captures the brief, but with the current background, I'm concerned it too may not stand out on a white background.

    Attention Designers!! MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you are providing 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if the particular draft gets finalized, each color version should be separated before you will send the final files.
