These icons are for a website that will be the portal for a parachute (canopy) piloting school franchise (like a skydiving school but focused on the part which consist in piloting the parachute rather than the freefall part of the jump). This website purpose is to present the school network, the instructors and the different types of course that are offered. It will also be a booking platform for those courses.

We need to find a design concept for the icons we are going to use for our different courses and level. The icons are going to be used in different location around the website such as: the course finder, each school and instructor description (to illustrate what they are specialized in and can offer), the courses descriptions etc...

This project only focuses on 3 icons representing the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Once, we have a promising concept, we are going to extend it to the other icons needed for our website and brochure.

We think it should be "serious, cool, edgy, badass, manly...". Skydivers are into looking cool !
In saying that we want to stay away from skulls or things that look Gothic, military or too harsh – think more surf/snowboard/parkour culture rather than motocross.

We will upload the company logo and several pictures of parachute flying.
We will also upload some suggestion we have from a local designer and we would like to see developed.
