I want to design a logo for my new organization, Fluid Philosophies. The function of the organization will be to raise money and awareness for some of Nepal’s young, elite kayakers. Further, I want to be able to use this money to support creative projects for myself and these boys. The logo will be used on the website, print media and T-shirts. The organization is Kathmandu-based, Himalayan inspired and rooted in river culture.

I have an idea in my mind of what I want as the logo, but lack the design talent to bring it to physical reality.

Firstly, I want the main image of the logo to be portrait silhouette of a sadhu (Hindu holyman). Something with the perspective such as:

I want the sadhu to have a turban as well as a beard.

To contrast this, I want the sadhu to be wearing very sporty sunglasses such as the Oakley M-Frame. As seen here:

These are traditionally worn by very elite athletes. To contrast the image of the sadhu further, I want the sunglasses to be worn with Chums: sport sunglass holders such as this:

These are typically worn by kayakers and rafters. In the logo, I want them to be visible and draping down the neck of the sadhu.


Underneath the portrait of the Sadhu, I want “Fluid Philosophies” to in a similar font as the designer Salvatore Ferragamo:
