Trophy Truck Graphic Design

Complete graphic design for racing

Design theme of race truck to merge the identity and color scheme of a WW II fighter plane with modern geometric patters. Primary sponsor is General Tire, secondary sponsors are KORE, Fox Racing Shox and Baja Designs. Truck will be wrapped, so fine details are good, "nose art" machine guns, bullet holes - anything goes! Must look classy, sophisticated, and high-end. Must clearly retain vintage military aviation theme with a modern twist that looks fast. Truck should look dynamic while standing still. See link for images to work from: https://picasaweb.google.com/106166231440866672468/KORETrophyTruck?authkey=Gv1sRgCODtoerw4v3Qfw#

Demographic is men age 13-40. Must appeal to desert southwest audience - tough, go-fast people. Race Team represents large corporations, so good taste is in order.

"General Tire" placement on #10 is good. We don't need the GT "shield" to appear anywhere - like on passenger side. No small, redundant logos (GT shield etc). No background logos. All sponsor logos need to be color matched to truck theme (like the "Fox" logo in #3 - black/white may be best. No small stars and bars. Primary color needs to change to the glossy dark green described in my previous post. I still like the hood to roof stripe on #3 a lot.

Sponsor logos must be the same color as the theme of the truck (see airplane photo), not red or blue. Colors can be green, black, white, etc. For some reason the green color is coming out brown. It's probably because everyone is sampling from the airplane in a certain spot. The actual color is more like this one, a dark, glossy olive green: https://picasaweb.google.com/106166231440866672468/KORETrophyTruck?authkey=Gv1sRgCODtoerw4v3Qfw#5578751009952405074

This is another way the General Tire logo can appear: https://picasaweb.google.com/106166231440866672468/KORETrophyTruck?authkey=Gv1sRgCODtoerw4v3Qfw#5578444006046773218 Please read my commentary below. It gives very exact design parameters.

This is how the General Tire logo should appear: https://picasaweb.google.com/106166231440866672468/KORETrophyTruck?authkey=Gv1sRgCODtoerw4v3Qfw#5577338376275262674

The rivet panels and detail in #5 are great. The truck is going to be wrapped in vinyl, so that level of detail is possible. No need for "Desert Fighter" etc. The primary logo is "General Tire" and must be integrated into the design. #3 is the best design so far - I especially like the black lines coming from the hood and up the roof. Excellent. "General Tire" should appear/replace where the black force line coming up the side of the truck is. See B.J. Baldwin's truck in my album. All sponsor logos should color match with the green, silver and black theme. Secondary sponsor logos can appear low on the rocker panel as in #4. These should also be color matched. Maybe have OD green color appear above the General Tire logo and silver below the logo? Great work, everyone.

I'll look for a side view photo of the truck. I'm not sure if we have one.

OK - now we're starting to see truck designs! Excellent. I uploaded some more photos here: https://picasaweb.google.com/106166231440866672468/KORETrophyTruck?authkey=Gv1sRgCODtoerw4v3Qfw# Remember the primary colors need to be Olive Drab Green and Silver - just like the Mustang P-51 in the photo. Accent colors can be used as well. I uploaded two designs from our previous race trucks, so you can see the level of detail we need. The body template for our new truck (the red one) is roughly a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed. Remember the primary sponsor for the new truck is "General Tire" It should appear as bold as the American Flag truck. Secondary sponsor logos have been uploaded as well. We're looking for a vintage/retro look,so the old General Tire logo I uploaded might be fun to play with. If you have any questions at all, just post. I'm checking this all the time. GOOD LUCK!!

Just so there's no confusion, the entire truck doesn't need to be digitized. WE'RE LOOKING FOR A PAINT SCHEME WITH A NEW THEME. Just follow the brief and give my team the best paint scheme ideas.

Yes. The race vehicle that needs a face lift is the solid red one in my photo gallery. I'm requesting a new paint scheme for the red truck. The other photos are there to give ideas. The most important photo is the photo of the airplane. Following the brief, simply design a paint scheme for the red truck. I'm giving this website a try, since motorsport-specific designers all tend to have similar ideas. We want something unique. In the gallery you can read what I've written about each photo.

I'm not looking for a logo; I'm looking for someone to design the look of the entire vehicle. Please read the brief and see the photos from the link I posted. Thanks!
