Describe who/what this design is about

We are a breakfast and lunch restaurant located in the middle of Boston's Bak Bay neighborhood. We are casual but more upscale than the local diner and Subway - good breads, fresh ingredients, creative menu. Most of our customers are local office workers, mixed with some tourists from local hotels. This design will be our signage, shirts, menus, etc.

What colors would you like?

Earth tones, muted colors....reds, tans, browns, black....but really, I don't know. That's why I'm here. Either way it needs to work in black and white.

How many colors do you want in your design?

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

I like block lettering / classic Italian deli style / perhaps curved "Back Bay" with straight "Sandwich" under ...or round logo altogether / nothing fancy or too modern...I want to give the impression of an established sandwich shop, with retro or classic style, a little bold and simple enough to define us quickly at a glance.

This might help too: Think retro Italian-ized sandwich shop. Doesn't need to scream ITALIAN but we lean that way. Would like to see more with block lettering - see Magianno's Little Italy and Carabbas Grill logos. Liking some of the slicker, more modern styles too. Several are absolutely in the running.
