Describe who/what this design is about

Minimalist, eye-catching logo to brand sailing blog across analog and digital interfaces. Sailing Errant is a blog/website (and eventually a book) about sailing. The name “Sailing Errant” is BOTH a personal chronicle about sailing a boat named Errant, AND a broader reflection on the relationship between sailing and an errant lifestyle (traveling in search of adventure).

Sailing Errant logo should represent a carefree, whimsical, adventurous, and joyful sailing lifestyle, and it should communicate a happy vacation mood. Please see uploads for 10 logos to use as inspiration. They are numbered/ranked in order of preference.

Do not use these other websites as models, but please ensure that the Sailing Errant logo stands out from the crowd! Thank you to EVERYONE who submitted artwork for the Sailing Errant logo contest. We received 668 submissions from 53 designers, and most of them were absolutely amazing! I am genuinely impressed with how creative and professional all of you have been during the last two contests that we have run on Zillion Designs. In fact, we've decided to run at least one more contest for another project. Maybe even two more projects depending on how the next contest goes! Your graphic design skills and your quick communications and your flexibility to try iteration after iteration is truly remarkable. I'm recommending this service to anyone and everyone who will listen to me. :-) And I'll invite you to our next contest as soon as it is launched. In the mean time... I need to sort through those 668 submissions to figure out a winner. And it is going to be difficult because you've given me so many amazing Sailing Errant logos to choose from. Wow! Thank you VERY much to everyone for submitting logo designs for our Sailing Errant logo contest. I'm SUPER impressed with all of the creative designs that we've been receiving, and I want to than all of you for sharing your creative and artistic gifts. I think we're going to finalize an amazing design for this contest! And I will be sorting through submissions and sometimes changing the number of stars to help me organize everything. Obviously it can be confusing to designers when they see stars added or subtracted, so I just wanted to explain in advance. We have received so many AMAZING logos, that I will use the stars as a way to help sort through the best ones to help make a decision. With less than 24 hours left in the contest, I encourage you all to submit any final logo concepts soon so that we can give you feedback and race toward the finish line. Thanks again!
