Describe who/what this design is about

BEAST stands for "Business Enabling Applications, Services, and Technologies" - use this or don't, it is not a requirement.

Graphics must be bold and convey strength, power, decisiveness.

(option - use it if you can) Would also enjoy a representation of wisdom, honor, loyalty.

I'd rather get the feeling that it's bad ass and protecting me / defending me, but I understand that this may be too difficult to convey in a logo so if it's just bad ass then I'm happy. Doesn't have to be a beast image, my initial sketches just included claw marks for the non-text illustration.

i lean toward dark colors - though you're the expert so show me what you've got! I do have a preference for white/transparent background so that the image(s) can be easily placed in web,print,presentation,etc.

As mentioned above, no strong requirements here I'm open to excellence. My initial sketches included claw marks rather than a beast-type image but that's because I'm not a confident artist.
