Describe who/what this design is about

Trailant is the first of its kind global information services company, providing a readily available source of verified background information on individuals to its clients in Africa and around the world.

We will help our businesses guard their reputations by managing the people risk associated with hiring. Our work approach is COLLABORATIVE. We FOCUS on the business needs of our clients and INNOVATE continuously to exceed them.
TRUST is what we will stand for. Our objective is to earn this through our relationships and help improve it in the markets in which we operate. Our values are Focus, Collaboration, Innovation and Trust

Message to designers:
I'd like the logo to project our values. I want something modern (web 2.0) and simple. It would be good to see some designs with a logo (e.g. experiment with "T" or any other simple yet innovative play with letters) and some designs without (play of letters e.g. linked in, facebook).

Also, worth mentioning that Trailant originates from Trail and our value offering also extends to individuals/applicants who have accounts (and verified background records) with us.

Hi All, Please feel free to play around with the positioning of the tick. For is instance the left tip could be a little shorter, the bottom could be a little lower under the word Trailant. I'll favour the design where the tick is best positioned to give a crisp look and feel.

I'm still struggling to find the ideal logo ... So here's the challenge, I've seen a couple of nice logo's but am looking for one that stands out. I believe when I see it i'll know. The ideal logo has got to be able to tell people what we do. Trailant isn't a word in the dictionary so it isn't an easy task. We coined the word Trailant from "Trail" + "ant" . "Ant" as a suffix means "a person or thing who ...." . For instance "Serve" + "ant" is "Servant" - a person who serves; "Attend" + "ant" is "Attendant" - a persons who attends to one; "Cool" + "ant" is "Coolant" - a substance or thing that cools. So what is "Trail" + "ant" (Trailant)? We simply a company that keeps verified background histories of people. We are a trusted friend and companion that individuals like yourself can rely on to certify their integrity. You are honest and resourceful. You have achievements that you are proud of and have worked hard to build a reputation over the years. We know. We verify and keep records of your past and ensure it is readily available (on your request) to who ever may need it, be it future employers, business prospects etc. Having read the above, please feel free to design what ever comes to mind. The true test is if you are driving to work and catch a glimpse of the the logo on a billboard, will you be able to make a close enough guess at what Trailant does?

Thanks for your designs so far. Ref. the recent document I uploaded you need not stick with it. Its probably best I leave the designing to you so if you have more creative designs then please do send through also. We provide verified background histories of individuals hence word "Trail". I'm looking for a simple logos that expresses this to our clients.

Hi Designers, I've just uploaded two sketches that will give a sense of what I am looking at. I'd like something similar and am happy for your to make a few modifications of your own. The following are features I will give preference too. 1. Richness of graphic design and color (please refer to brief for pantone specification) 2. Symmetry - spacing of text, equal height and breadth etc. 3. Originality - If you're up for the challenge I'd like my fonts custom built! 4. Simplicity - Less is more With the refreshed direction I'm hoping I can select a winner within the next couple of days. Thanks and good luck!

Thanks, please keep the designs coming in. I think I may have anchored you all on the "T". You can use other symbols that best translate the brief I shared. Were and web based company too so some 3D is welcome in the designs. Also please try "Trailant" alone using custom but simple fonts. Think e.g. linkedin, facebook etc
