Opa's Attic

Salvage, Parts, Treasure, and More

Yes

We specialize in rescuing relics from the past and giving them new homes, sometimes as-is, sometimes re-imagined as new items. We like the sense of fun conveyed by the font called "Nailed," but we are also drawn to the style sense of "mid-century modern." We are a family business and seek a logo that says we are friendly and approachable.

Retro

We like a strong blue (something similar to html #00008A) and a bright green (something similar to #00CC00); but we are open to new possibilities.

Thank you all for the great submissions. We are pouring over each one and will make a decision by Wednesday.

draft #12: I'm sorry but we are not looking for dreamy/ethereal. The apostrophe doesn't render (and is important), and the font makes "Attic" look like "ALLie". I think it's a good start for a different type of business (a boutique maybe?)

draft #15: We like the "out of the box" thinking, but we find the letters in the fan deck difficult to read.

draft #13 is lovely, but the curlicues are fancier than we are (and too fancy for our business).

We would like our URL added as a third line of text. Either of these versions will work -- choose which works for your design: www.opasattic.com or opasattic.com

Draft #6 is a direction we didn't consider and we like it; however, draft #7 grabs our attention better.

We do not want a script font.

Thank you both for your quick submissions. -- We prefer the white backgrounds. -- We like the stronger presence of draft #4 over the script of drafts #1-#3. -- The script of drafts #1-#3 remind us of Greek letters. True, "Opa" is a Greek word. However, for us it is German for Granddad. I did not think to include that in the initial overview.
