Logo for online retailer.

RareWare Distribution

No

The logo should help convey a sense of reliability in the brand, as well as quality and uniqueness in the products being sold.

Navy blue + Baby blue Maybe some gold trim as well (but not necessary)

not sure

- To help people read the name of the company, the first "R" and the "W" should be capitalized - i.e. it should be designed to read as "RareWare"

- The logo should be horizontally rectangular, similar dimensions to that of Google, YouTube, Twitter, etc. A square shaped logo won't work well on the layout of the website given some space constraints.

- I've attached an example for reference of how it should be laid out - a logo, with the company name to the right of it to make it stretch horizontally. Note that this example is only to show the layout - it has nothing to do with the font, feel, colors, etc. that I want to use.

- The company is selling many different kinds of products online - kids toys, housewares, etc. The logo should be vague enough to represent the different categories of products being offered.

Thank you for your help! Please let me know if you have any questions.

I've sent comments and feedback on the designs that I like so far and that I think have a potential of winning the contest. In order to help save you time & effort, if I haven't commented on a design of yours please do not be offended. I don't want you to waste your time tweaking a concept that might not have a great chance of being selected, so I'm just trying to be upfront and open about it from the beginning. However, if I have sent you feedback on a specific design, it is likely in the consideration set to be a winner. It would be great if you could post a revised version incorporating my recommendation(s). Thanks again for all of your input. - Mark

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an entry, I appreciate your time and effort in doing so. I think I need to clarify one thing on the brief as I’ve received several entries that are missing a key element, but I don’t think I explained it properly when I was describing what I’m looking for. The company sells a variety of different goods – toys, housewares, and other general merchandise. I’m looking for a logo (that would be on the left-hand side of the text “RareWare Distribution”) that helps illustrate what the company is offering. Since the products we’re selling touch on many different categories, it’s important to keep the logo symbol vague, while still showing that the company sells goods / merchandise. I’ve uploaded an example of a gift box in my pictures – the gift box helps convey that there is something inside, without specifying a category in particular. The symbol you use doesn’t need to be a gift box, but I’m just using it as an example to help demonstrate what I’m looking for. Please don’t hesitate to send me a comment / private message if you have any questions. Thanks again for your time and effort. - Mark
