Describe who/what this design is about

This logo is for an area of our app which helps organisers to create and manage sports teams and squads.

I'm open to ideas and interpretation but i think the words 'squad' and 'boss' convey a strong person in control of his squad making sure they stay in line.

Obviously we also want the sports element to come through as well.

I quite like the idea of having a figure in it representing the squad boss (nothing too cartoony!) but Im open to your interpretation.

Im not sure why everyone has started doing guys in suits? Its effectively a sports coach we're looking for. This is a sports app.
