A river basin also looks like the a tree silhouette and I want to capitalize on this for my logo, including the roots of a tree.
Similar to how a river basin pulls together water from many different sources, that is what I will be doing with this company. I will be pulling together information and ideas from many different places to present solutions from a different perspective. The tree branches should be blue to actually represent river tributaries, which then come together to form increasingly large rivers (similar to a tree trunk). The tree roots represent info or ideas that people don't see or think of. I'd like a logo that visually depicts that.
The focus of the company is energy transition issues, which is really about climate change, so the "earth" part of this (including water) is important as well. That's why the colors should be blue and green, with maybe grey or black text. I'm open to some yellow, which would represent the sun. The primary color should be blue for water.

- Name and some sort of river / tree graphic
- Name can be words next to each other or on top/bottom
- Intent is to keep the entire logo together always, NOT to have a logo and name separate.
- Tie river into the name somehow, maybe through the middle of it; or if top/bottom, maybe Basin is in the water, maybe the river tributaries form the "R" and "B" somehow
- On the fence about a logo border.
- Maybe 3D round-look, like a globe...not sure this is possible
- Don't want to be too busy. Minimalist while still meaningful
- Can be a little artsy, but mostly traditional. Want to appeal both to oil & gas or NGOs
- Will be used across all forms of media
