We are a CNC machine shop that works in a variety of industries. Up until this point we have not needed a logo as most of our customers have know us for 20+ years. In order to reach the next generation of engineers we are wanting a logo that conveys us being on the cutting edge of CNC technologies.

I do not like old fashioned and do not use calipers or other measuring instruments as part of the logo. These typically make the logo look dated.
It would be okay to use a drill or some other cutting tool as part of the logo, if it is somewhat abstract and not the focal point of the logo. This is not a requirement and only a suggestion.
I have a logo that was a blend of two logos we had made last year but it has never jumped out at me.
I am interested in two different types of logos.
1. Using our initials
2. Something that may or may not use initials- could use some type of prop in this one also- drill, mill, etc..., or something abstract
