Completely up to the designer. I do like a rpm gauge or tachometer. Maybe speedometer. If using a tachometer definitely use 5,000-7,000 range. No higher. Speedometer around 120 ish. No need to go crazy there either. If I see something that catches my eye I will definitely give some input.
