Describe who/what this design is about

This logo is for a small advisory / investment firm specialised in buying and selling companies, providing advice to companies looking to investors, and providing management services to companies.

This logo should convey the idea of seriousness, competence, expertise.
As the company EJ Capital is fairly small, the logo should also convey the idea of a small, high class boutique business, specialised in what it is doing and in doing is very well.

What colors would you like?

NO FLASHY COLORS. Only elegant, high class colors. It could be for instance black, grey, white, beige, champagne, blue, dark red, etc. There is no real limitation on colors as long as it is very elegant, high class, modern. Perferably colors that will appeal to men (no pink). No color that could look cheap (no orange).

The business card should be stylish, ELEGANT, high-class, clean, modern but not futuristic. Not flashy.
It should be convey the idea of sophistication, quality, expertise.
The logo should be simple, inspirational, easy to identify, easy to read.
It should be easy to recognise even in small size.

The logo could be written "EJC" or "EJ Capital" or "EJ capital".

Dear Designers I am not a big fan of logos in red and blue, especially if is it the most common red and the most common blue. This is not really elegant. I am sure you can propose better colours. rgds C

Dear Designers, Thanks for your design idea. I am looking for something clean, elegant, modern and easy to read. Stylish but not fancy. It should be rather simple and light. Also, it should really look like 2014, not like 2005 or 1995... It could include a sign on the left, above or around, but this is not mandatory. The key word is: it must look HIGH CLASS. thanks C
