The company is meant to spawn startup companies through developing the product and launching a company around it.
The logo represents the birth of something powerful and that will grow to immense size and power.

orange green blue, but I'm not a color expert I imagine two colors will be more simple, but open to suggestion. The company name, Hatchdragon, could be shown in one or two words. Hatchdragon.com will be the company website, but the products will have their own identity. I picture the name in two colors, one for "hatch" and one for "dragon". all small letters so it flows with the .com in the url on an embroidered shirt, for instance.

My first logo idea was an egg with a dragon's tail poking out.
I don't want it to look childish or cute. Also, it shouldn't make people think that the company is a lizard pet store.
Simple. Something that could be put alone on one side of a card.
