What I have in mind is a circular logo, although I'm an open to other creative interpretations.

Much of what I sell is heavily stylized advertising/promotional material from 1945-1980, so I would like a retro feel to the logo, possibly including "distressed' (faded, etc.) look elements.

I'm inspired by some of th 1950's industrial catalogue logos visible in the photo gallery at the following link:

aLesS - This is a really intriguing submission. I like it but would like to see what you could do with it to make the company name - "Minor League Paper" - larger. I am concerned that if I used this on a mailing label, letterhead, etc., that a consumer might need to squint closely to read the company name, due to both the sizing and the script font. I do like the script font you chose, but paired with the relatively small size, it makes for a tough read.

Juayusta (#10) - Thanks for your submission. Your design is very similar to #3, #4 and #5. For this style of masthead logo - company name above tagline - I prefer the early versions by LilD3vil27 and I don't think revisions will lift your version to that level. I would suggest taking a different approach and submitting a new version of a circular, ring or oval logo.

lild3vil27 - Love these designs. You definitely grasped the basic look I described in the brief. On the circular logo, I like that you have inscribed the store name in the circle. Rather than using a solid red, would you please update the circle logo so that the circle is "ring" with a white center, rather than a solid red "ball". (See the Starbucks Coffee logo as an example, if I have not described this clearly). I would also like the "finest quality" tagline to become larger in this design. The other designs you submitted are certainly still in the running as well.

Draft #1: I'm looking for a much more more illustrative design, both in shape (preferably circular or oval) and especially in font, which needs to be more distinctively retro (1950's -1960's feel. This comes off more like a contemporary rubber stamp. Thank you for your submission regardless.
