Describe who/what this design is about

We are a small scuba diving school based in Malta. We are looking for a new logo to replace the old, dated one. We are looking for both a logo for the initials NDS and one with the whole name New Dimension Scuba.
We want a design that immediately tells the customer what service it is that we offer, but one that also grabs their attention and will bring them into our shop.

Our shop can be seen from 100m across a bay and we need a logo that is bold enough to be seen from this distance and will stand out. Below is a link to show what we currently have.

What colors would you like?

We would like to avoid blues as most dive schools/companies use blue. We are after bold, bright colours that stand out and will with stand the bright summer sun.

How many colors do you want in your design?

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

We would like to keep the logo industry related so a diver or other references to the ocean are good (not fish though). Also maybe something dimensional might be possible??

#26 - back to that one, thanks for doing the others. Its it possible to keep the diver outlined in black but to show a bit of the green background inbetween the diver and the text. also is it possible for reproduction purposes to have the text and diver seperated (for t-shirts etc)?? Thanks for all your hard work!

Finaldesign, with #26 is it possible to move the "New" to the right hand side like it is in #9, and not to have outlining on the name but keep it on the logo? Think we're getting very close! Thanks

Finaldesign, could you make the fins shorter, currently they are "free diving" fins, not scuba. Liking the new designs, especially #9,7 & 6. Is there a possibility that you could use brighter colours? Yellow is the brand colour of one of our competitiors, so I was thinking maybe oranges, bright greens etc.... We really like the logo you've come up with though on these designs. #16, I like the colours used but not the background colour, its too dark and I think you would have trouble seeing it from a distance.

Attention Designers, MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you show 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if that draft gets finalized, each color version is separated before final files are sent out. Liking #2, very bright and instantly grabbed my attention. Is it possible to give the diver a cylinder on his back so show scuba diving? Also, I think the text would need to be a bit bolder/bigger to be seen from afar. Also like the red and black design of #3 & #4 but not sure if the black would absorb the red from a distance. Maybe different colours? Overall, very good!
