Advent in Action

No

Advent is a time for Christians to focus their attention on the love of Jesus. Advent is the time of preparation for Christmas, the birth of Jesus. Inspired by the Advent Conspiracy (adventconspiracy.org) campaign, we encourage people to not worry about giving expensive gifts but rather focus on giving gifts reflective of the relationship between the giver and the receiver. These gifts should be meaningful and fun! We provide ideas for giving small gifts each day of Advent, gifts that require taking actions that reflect the love of Jesus to the world.

Other common symbols include: a manger, heart, candle, or lamb.

We would prefer the use of a star rather than a cross. A star is often used to symbolize Christmas. Thank you!
