Describe who/what this design is about

This new logo is for a re-branding of the company. It was started in 1999 and is in need of a face lift! The company is mom and pop and has an average of 9 employees (depends on the work load). They are contractors so no plumbing service yet. They do commercial and residential contracted jobs--big work for big companies including the city of chicago and other chicagoland towns. Within the next 1-3 years, however, they will likely be making a shift to plumbing service exclusively. Regardless of this change, the company needs a fresh, new, and modern look that will attract a new generation of clientele.
