The-Elite.Net

The World's Best Speedrun Community

Yes

("Speedrun" = completing video games as fast as possible)

This is a 15-year old site that's been long-managed by a community of gamers. "Elite", initially, was just a tag appended to a collective of speedrun communities of popular N64 games, primarily GoldenEye 007, and eventually it ("Elite") became the word people came to associate with our online collective. "The-Elite.Net" and "The Elite" have been the focal point of past branding efforts, with GoldenEye theming usually involved.

Our common skill and interest is racing through video games fast.... speed, precision, shooting accuracy are themes. The consensus among our team is that people want something professional, sharp, bold.

Black, orange, yellow, gray Black has always been the backdrop on our site. A vibrant orange (e.g. #ff6600) has been our primary color, sometimes with yellow accents

The most common symbols we've used with logos and branding include:
- The text "The Elite" or "The-Elite.Net" (or "the-elite.net")
- James Bond (from GoldenEye --> Pierce Brosnan or his 64-bit likeness)
- Red crosshairs (from the GoldenEye 007 video game)

Some sort of symbol to go along with the (more prominent) text component might be appealing, as we'll want to develop variations of a wide variety of sizes.

Look again -- I typed "ff6600" (my mistake on using lowercase). So FF6600. I'll update it; thanks
