The Humanitarian Technology Institute works with University of Michigan students and student groups on projects in low-resource settings around the world. We work on real projects under the themes of health, environment, energy, water, urban, agriculture and education. We want our logo to combine both the technical precision of engineering and the human centered focus on designing for people's needs.

We have our first attempt.
It is ok that the logo have hidden meaning.
Something with perhaps travel, humanitarians, helping others, etc..
Our first attempt is an abstract map being unfolded. It has a technical look which we like but want to incorporate a more human, softer touch as well.
