Describe who/what this design is about

Looking for a logo to put on a t-shirt (front and back) for a local beer club that was recently started. A bunch of guys in the community get together once a month in someone's backyard and enjoy different beers. I want the logo to represent community, friendship, fun, and most importantly, beer. Masculine design but not taking ourselves too seriously.

Would like to see a simple, one color design as well as a multi-color design. The color design should have green, gold, brown or Maroon.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

We have 2 ideas that we've been thinking about. (1) A logo that looks like a crest with hops, barley, beer, beer taps, etc... that says "Backyard Beer Club" or (2) A logo that somehow incorporates the Backyard Beer Club feel with elements of a backyard setting in the logo.
