Logo for genealogy company

AGRS

Analytic Genealogical Research Services

Yes

This logo will be used on both web site and business cards. Many genealogists use some type of tree (family tree) in the logo. This is fine but I am trying to convey a more scholarly, professional approach to research.

Do not want anything too bright.

2

I would like a stylized use of the company initials "AGRS", preferably with an abstract design that suggests well analyzed and researched history.

Thanks everyone, these were some incredible designs and it was really difficult to select just one. Good luck on your future designs!

Thanks to all who are submitting drafts, they are generally very good. Draft #16 and Draft #22 are too plain with no logo. The graphic on draft #23 and draft #24 does not suggest anything to me with regards to my business. Draft #18 I like the design a lot, but the lettering style causes the letters to look like they are not evenly spaced, could the initials be brought closer together or the lettering style changed? Draft #21 I like the lettering a lot better, but you changed the design so it has more leaves and fewer branches, which was the opposite of what I was hoping for from draft #15, but it is still a great design. Draft #25 is interesting, but I think the graphic may be too stylized, because it suggests a peacock to me.

Drafts #10 and 11 I am not sure I understand how they would relate to my business. Draft #13 I like a lot, just for my understanding, these (like your other drafts) are three different views of the logo that I could use for different purposes. correct? Draft #14, I think would be too difficult to see and get on a business card. Draft #15, I really like this design, although the words on the bottom line seem to run together, and I would prefer a tree design with more branches and fewer leaves. Thanks to everyone!

Thanks for the new and/or revised drafts. I am interested in draft #6 but I don't know that it would work on business cards-which are one of my mine uses of a logo. Draft #8 improves a bit on #3 but it still really feels like an agricultural logo. I like the clean look of draft #9 but I do understand how it would be related to historical research and analysis. Sorry, that may not be a helpful comment, but I don't really understand this design as it relates to my business.

Attention Designers, MycroBurst permits you to submit unlimited designs with unlimited variations. However, if you show 2 or 3 different color versions of the same logo in one draft, please make sure that if that draft gets finalized, each color version is separated before final files are sent out. Thanks, MB/LDG Team

I like the concept of draft #3, lettering very clean and nice feel--although not sure if that is three, rather than two colors--but the tree, combined with the initials, and the colors, make it look a lot like an agricultural logo. I wonder if it could be altered to make it look less so

Sorry, one more comment on #1. It is "Services" with an "s" at the end.

I would prefer having the name of the company as well as the initials, like in draft #1. Draft #1 is also very much in the line of what I was thinking about. While I like that draft #2 used a sort of DNA-like design, which is important to my business, it is not a key element of my business and I would probably not want that to be the primary force of the design.
