  Hello to those designers just joining the contest or those revising their designs! The MAIN IDEA of this project - Diverse writers and illustrators contribute their unique voices to the rich TAPESTRY of diverse children's literature. Elements to include: - TAPESTRY - many colors (lime green plus more - see website banner for reference colors: https://sfnortheastbay.scbwi.org/2013/09/10/22/) - diverse children - pen (for writing/illustrating) - kite (for parent organization logo) - books The most successful designs will have an artistic look and remind people of children's books. Please don't withdraw your early designs as we may use elements from them in the final draft of the logo. Thank you for your participation and your art! I look forward to working with you.   Hi everyone, Thank you for all your submissions so far. The most successful designs up to this point incorporate the following elements: What works: - Multicolor scheme that references the banner and lime green font color of the website https://sfnortheastbay.scbwi.org/2013/09/10/22/ - Visual references to diversity, writing/illustrating, books, children, and TAPESTRY - Include a kite if you can - it's the logo for SCBWI, our parent organization. Maybe a tapestry kite? - a more illustrative vs. stylized approach (think illustrations in children's books) - If you can include the logo "Tapestry of Voices" and also the tagline "Reach, Include, Belong - Diversity in Children's Literature" that's even better.
