Describe who/what this design is about

Diff Con is the name of the company. We are Construction/Project managers. I'm not looking for hammers and buzz saws. We manage commercial renovations (large scale). I have attached my simple design, but I feel as though it's missing a small something. The "Diff" needs to be large, front and centre, the "con" is to be much smaller and not the main focus. Try to incorporate something so symbolize 5 (number of family members) ex: 5 point star, or 3 (Children) Triangle? you get it..

I have uploaded a file of where I got with it. I don't have the tools or skills to get it where I would like it to be - looking forward to seeing everyone's spin on it!

Logo will be used on clothing, hats, vehicle etc - Want it to be catchy. I didn't select colours - I think I can change that down the road. Other than black and white versions, I'm kind of interested in a Light brown / creme color. Will attach color chart incase someone want to play with colours. Think Carhart clothing. Leather.
