Soldier Spirit of Change

Soldier Spirit of Change, Inc.

Soldier Spirit of Change is a non-profit based out of Austin, Texas started by four veterans of the armed forces. SSC is dedicated to investing in the lives of Veterans and active military members at all stages of personal development. Through cutting-edge qualitative research and promotion of verified effective treatments, those who served their country will be given an opportunity to continue that mission.
The evolution of PTSD treatment is here. The spirit at the heart of every Soldier, Sailor, Airman and Marine is not one begging for medications, band-aids, or coddling. There is a heart of service, a need for triumph, and a spirit of sacrifice. Veterans do not ask for handouts, they ask for opportunity. They have made a life of taking the hard way over the easy way because it brings a sense of pride, purpose, and accomplishment.
The “pillows and clouds” approach of traditional VA and PTSD treatment programs offers only a distraction to the heart of the problem: an unfulfilled heart. SSC’s mission is two-fold in its research mentality and opportunity creation. If you know a Veteran who struggles, please put us in touch. If you know of an opportunity for good, please help us support. There is no limit to the opportunities required to solve the problem. Every individual is different, so is their individual path to recovery. Helping the self is helping others is helping the self. “One team, one fight!” is sung out by the ranks while in uniform. After there time in service is complete, they are left with “one fighter, no fight.” The service men and women of this country’s identity is so closely related to complete sacrifice and selfless service, there is no direction without rank, file, and uniform.
They are not alone. The mission for a better world is ongoing and SSC holds that a bettered Veteran will always be a step towards a better Earth. The Soldier Spirit cannot be quenched, but it can be hidden beneath a mountain of systematic handouts and prescription medications. SSC demands an unrelenting effort to tunnel through this mountain, to break open the barriers and fan the flame with life-giving oxygen, providing a path to personal growth and everlasting meaning. We do not claim to hold the silver bullet. In fact, we propose that the solution can only come from within the Veteran, deep where the fire burns white hot. The Soldier Spirit of Change provides a safe place to dream, to reach, to build and burn that passion for themselves, for all of us.

Please see the sketch,

Concept 1 (left side): Dominate interlinked SSC letters with eagle head in top 'S'. Flowing off the back is a less pronounced (less opaque?) wings/american flag.

Concept 2: Phoenix/Eagle rising from the fire. Still using interlinked SSC lettering. Wings are coming from fire (slightly singed?) New birth concept while tying in American colors....

There's a lot of concepts trying we're trying to incorporate but as with all logos, simplicity is important.
