Handmade soap logo

Me & My Soap

Let's Take a Bath!

Yes

Handmade soap made the old fashioned way. I am a 1 woman business and have been creating handmade soaps for 10 years now. I have a cookie cutter os commerce template for now on my site but am in the works for a full site redesign which this logo will play a huge part of. I have dedicated alot of my time and money into this business and I need a logo that really just says it all for me. the website is www.meandmysoap.com

both
both

Unique/Creative
Clean/Simple
Sophisticated
Outdoors/Natural
Serious

The website when redesigned will have a base background the color of brown kraft paper. I wrap my soaps in white or brown butcher paper at the moment. They look like little parcels when completely dressed. The inside color of the website will most likely end up white so this logo needs to perform well on white....my labels are also white. 2 or 3 colors would be ok...I am not partial to one over the other.

3

a simple text based logo could perhaps put a play on the ampersand like me&my soap with a fancy ampersand or something. It does not have to read me and my soap it can be me & my soap. Maybe some in caps and some in lowercase. I dunno, I am flexible

What a week! First of all I want to thank all the designers who participated in this logo contest. It ended up being much harder than I thought it was going to be. I can not even believe that we got this many options from 1 week to choose from and I wish I would have found this site sooner. With that being said I need to go and finalize the winner now.

katesrobyn, cute your draft #98 I like the colors and the cute use of the smiley face. CDanH very nice indeed your drafts #99 #100 Kebbra your draft #101 & #103 i like the best out of the last 3 could you rework 103 keeping the same color blue but sub out the pink for a nice chocolate brown?...Love it!

The m&m shouldn't be a trademark issue since it's not the same industry and it has no resemblance to the Hershey brand. at least this is my understanding. I'll have those changes for you first thing on Monday morning.

DocHolly! your draft #86 is amazing! I LOVE the color combination....it is clear, clean and to the point. It says just enough.

Kebbra I LOVE that! (your Draft #87) I love that the word "me" stands alone, I am a one woman operation for the most part. I think the ampersand is too scrolly. I Love the use of caps and lowercase. It even looks good in white on black with no color. Could you try to make that logo with a little bit heavier of a font, one without such sharp edges and something different with that letter "O" is reminds me of a hubcap. Nice work, I am really liking your submission.

jp1876 I am not digging the colors or the flower...it reminds me, at first glance of a hand print Clauina...it is hard to give good feedback on logos that i do not like without sounding so negative. I simply did not like the logos you posted thus far.

rockrash I LOVE that! I am now wondering if the use of M & M in my logo will be violating some trademark copyright thing....I have to look into that. I would love to see that in a specific color combination brown color no. 673301 turquoise color no.33cefe maybe the "me and my soap" you can find a less harsh font

sweetsuga....hi and thank you for jumping on board with this. Perhaps you missed the last line of my brief where I said please no bubbles. Either way I just wanted to let you know before you spent any more time on logos with bubbles.

rockrash, if I can get a design that is a nice cleanline type of font (serif mostly) with not alot of busy things happening around it then YES I have a company that designs custom stamps for me and I stamp the bars of soap 1 at a time with my logo.

Will your logo be made as part of the soap bar? like cut into the bar itslef or as part of a mold that the soaps shape is made into? kinda like dove or similars have. Trying to get a an Idea on how simple or elaborate to start off with?

Dear CH, if the designer owns a non-freeware font & converts it to outlines in the logo that is sent to the CH, then I dont think the CH would need to buy the font. & since outlines are vectors, the text can scaled as a much as needed without reduction in quality... Anyway I'll post some designs at the earliest Thanks.. CDan

Draft: #27 yes i see that but as much as I love this I am afraid it will not work. once i shrink that down to fit on a soap bar label or lip balm tube...i will loose all clarity on those gorgeous leaves. Keep going!

made by me..i LOVE the colors on this...the tree is outstanding! I think it is a bit to tall for me. You have the bernard font! Rock on!! I really like that font. I even have tried using that for the text and and messed around with ampersands from different fonts just trying to get the right look.
