  The words "Bilum Bags" by themselves falls well short of the expectation and the original intent of the brief. Time has taken to write the brief (see attachment) as has time been taken to provide at least 10 points of reference for inspiration and education.

  Design 10 is the most original so far, but lacks the professional global band that is required. What is good about Design 10 is it incorporate the elements outlined in the brief and takes inspiration from the motifs illustrated in the attachments. Bilum Bag are colourful, fun and incredibly practical and are a national icon of Papua New Guinea. PNG has a number of symbols and elements which are used to denote the island nation and its island culture/products. These have been included for review and inspiration for designers. The use of BB as a graphic element along with Bilum Bags can be used if you feel so inclined and inspired. The BB and the image of a bag can be used together if so desired but not too abstract. With all logos the desire is to have something that is clever and tells a story with both the words, the graphic elements used and the letters. This product is unique as a result the treatment of the logo should be so as well. Good luck...

  Hi Designers, We appear to be wide of the mark in the designs submitted so far. To this end: 1. Please read the brief carefully 2. Please review the reference material which has been provided as both for education and inspiration 3. Please review the videos on how this product is made Many thanks. The design needs to reflect the heritage from where it comes, i.e. Papua New Guinea. Moreover, the design needs to represent the unique characteristic of the Bilum Bag which is a string bag. In PNG the bag is used for almost everything you can imagine from carrying children through to a should bag to go to the beach and collect your groceries from at the local market.
