Traditional Irish Colors

not sure

The crest for the U.S. 7th Cavalry Regiment has served as a major inspiration for our brewing operation. (Many of the founders served with the 7th cavalry unit in Iraq, and upon returning home, lifted high the beer mugs.) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3e/7_Cav_Rgt_DUI.jpg

We want a definite Irish pub look to the logo

We are finding that we are drawn to the color schemes found in #14 and #31. We like the addition of the horseshoe in #37. #39-- we like the glossy look to the GO but find we don't 'need' it. We like the large stripes found in #14. What are finding that we like about the designs that are appealing to us the most is: The oval shape and The un-cartoony feel

    >>crberry12-- You are right, your designs would make decent bottle labels. We have updated our top three favorites, per your request. :)

    >>#9 -- This is the closest so far! We really appreciate the differences of the designs-- it gives us food for thought.

    >> #11 --a an alternate concept this is pretty good. It still doesn't quite have the parameters we had in mind, but it is something to think about. One of the reasons we don't want to use the "wheat" is because not all of our brewing is related to beer-- we brew coffee and mead as well. Though the beer mug/stein is fine.

PLEASE NOTE! We had a relative put together something basic for us-- not that she is submitting. But it is the closest thing to what we want. PLEASE look at this link: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/1/?ui=2&ik=a2a17d9984&view=att&th=131b46cc78bd97f2&attid=0.1&disp=inline&realattid=f_gr6hgo3f0&zw To get a better idea of what we want. She actually got it very very close. She is not a graphics designer and so can not produce a finished product. This is where you can benefit. >>The Celtic knots in the circle as they are in the pic can NOT be used-- it is someone else's copyright. Use it is a jumping off point, switch it up. >> The Celtic circle could be changed to a horseshoe/horseshoe shape. >>The name "GarryOwen Brewing" and "Est. 2011" will have to be added as well. >> Colors are still open. Thanks again!

#4 -- I just noticed. It isn't brewery-- it is "Brewing"

Please see previous comments in addition to these. We'd also like to see something with a bit more Celtic feel incorporated, ie Celtic knots inscribed in a horseshoe or such (instead of the laurel leaves)or the knots could be the horseshoe. Or a tartan. A 3-d aspect with the arm coming through is something to consider (though it is merely an idea, it doesn't have to.) >>Armyparalegal== #4 absolutely has a great feel, we like the banner. However we cannot use the CAV crest directly. A parody of the crest, ie instead of a saber, a beer stein/mug is an idea. We'd also like to see something with a bit more Celtic feel incorporated. Perhaps the "est. 2011" somewhere would be good as well. >>Sujata3333 == #5 This is beautiful, however it doesn't incorporate a Celtic feel nor does it use the CAV crest inspiration. We'd love to see something else from you.

Oh something else to note: #1 got our name correct in that it is "GarryOwen" all one word but the 'O' is capitalized. Thank you!

We would like to see something incorporates a little more of the Cavalry Patch design and something a little more Celtic in nature. The vision we have is for the "horseshoe" shape to be a little deeper. It doesn't have to be the patch exactly, but should remind anyone who know what they are looking at of the Cavalry, but with a twist. A cavalry unit historically rode horses, scouting ahead of an army, and fought with sabers (of course now Cavalry units ride in tanks and carry guns, but they still go first). The GarryOwen theme song was adopted to represent these units. GarryOwen is Irish and translates " Garden O' Owen"-- you can see how that comes down to us as GarryOwen, LOL. Thank you! We look forward to seeing more wonderful work. >>Anoise-- #2 We do like the color and glossy effect. The est. is a nice touch. However we'd like to see something closer to what we described in the brief and here, if possible. >>Monata80 -- #1 The gold isn't a bad thought. We are looking for something closer to the description and the url we provided in the brief. Thank you!
