Describe who/what this design is about

This is a logo for a youth community soccer team. It will be used on the front of the jerseys so we need a clean design that is easily readable. We need a logo that will look good being printed in a single color. We would like to be able to choose between just the words "Frostburg Rangers" and the words with also a symbol. We are not sure what would look best. Thanks
