Include this tagline in my logo.

Describe who/what this design is about

This logo is for a church that is undergoing a rebirth. It will appear on everything associated with the church including the sign, podium, t-shirts, business cards, etc. We were previously a traditional Baptist church that got comfortable with our surroundings and our idea of church, previously known as Gettysburg Baptist Church. We are now transitioning to a more non-denominational, bible teaching, modern church (still based in the Baptist faith) that is passionate about reaching and serving the people in our local surrounding community and beyond with the love of Christ! We are re-branding our church as GBC. We are located in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania near the intersection of two major highways that carry thousands of people into, out of and through our area making this, we believe, the perfect place for God to do some incredible things in the hearts and lives of the people here.

We don’t have any particular color suggestions. Something with life, that is fun.

Do you have any additional suggestions or ideas?

Please avoid using typical “churchy” symbols or more “traditional” church designs. We want something that will come to be known as the symbol for our church without including the name possibly. The full logo could include a symbol and “GBC” or the full logo may just be a symbol that includes the “GBC” as part of the symbol. Examples of such things would be www.newspring.cc, www.elevationchurch.org, www.lifepoinnow.com. Our tagline is an inspiration for your design. It could be used in the design but doesn’t need to be. We would like to see designs both ways if it works.

Although we appreciate designer comments regarding information about our logo please refrain from "blogging" about other designs on our contest site. All designs submitted are equally considered. It is our right to like and even select an over used design if we so desire without having to endure unwanted and unsolicited comments from other designers. Thank you.

and so do i. such have been blogged about and discussed in forums. these are new styles that really look old, and yes overused (but not classic at all)

General comment: Crosses that are sort of hidden in the design are acceptable but we are trying to avoid the typical open bible, doves, blatant crosses, churchy type symbols.

General comments: #3, #7, #20, #21, #22 - designs are too "blocky", we would like to see some font styles with softer edges and more movement
