The Technology: eKare has developed a point-of-care solution that enables comprehensive 3-dimensional wound assessment on a mobile device. Using infrared-based structured light sensor, eKare has created novel computer vision algorithms to allow users to obtain the full set wound measurements with the click of a button on their mobile devices. (see demo video at www.ekareinc.com). To maximize usability and ensure seamless integration into the clinical flow, eKare also provides a cloud management platform to support the front-end device. Using the HIPAA-compliant platform, clinicians can easily archive, access, and analyze the clinical images and informatics generated from the eKare sensor. The management platform can also interface with the clinicians’ existing electronic health record to further streamline care delivery.
