Chaplaincy Services

Where Caring, Community & Business Meet

No

I am creating a company that provides pastoral care to people at work and in community organizations. It is modeled after hospital chaplaincy.

Our chaplains listen. We "meet" the person wherever he or she is - respecting their spirituality whatever that looks like. It is soul and heart work - and isn't about convincing anyone of anything. We provide a loving presence, particularly when people are going through a hard time, a crisis, or have lost someone through death.

Chaplains will make brief, regular, confidential work site visits to get to know employees and offer moments of connection, acknowledgment and encouragement. If an employee has something he/she wants to discuss with the chaplain, it may be mentioned then. Depending on the nature and urgency of the employee need, the chaplain will coordinate a place and time for a follow-up meeting. This may be on a break, at lunch, by e-mail, or by phone.
Community and Home Visits

At the employee’s invitation, chaplains will make hospital, family home, nursing home, funeral home, and/or other neutral site visits when appropriate.

Service Focus
Chaplains care for the employee, as well as immediate family members. Such care includes confidential discussions concerning, but not restricted to: marriage, divorce and remarriage, serious illness, death, grief recovery, child-rearing, and care of aging parents. Other personal issues that may be discussed could include the effects of AIDS and HIV-related illnesses; drug and alcohol dependency; fears related to national, state, and local terrorist activity; financial and budgeting matters; psychiatric problems; serious illness; spousal and child abuse; and stress management.

Hello Designers, Some clarification. I require a logo design that works on multiple media/forms, including website, correspondence, business cards, reports, etc. I am fine with something that can be embellished with more than 2 colors, greater detail (e.g., the tree is beautiful in #10, 11, 12), 3D (for the website, let's say) and also looks great in black and white if need be. I imagine our chaplains wearing nice shirts with the logo embroidered or name tags with the logo. Do not feel wed to a tree image. Feel free to convey caring and community in ways that speak to you once you've digested my brief and comments. Thanks.

Hi mip1980, Thank you for your quick turnaround. Could you enlighten me on your concept a bit. What does your graphic represent?

Thank you for your contributions thus far. Very neat ideas. I am "on the fence in terms of adding a tagline". IF it's not too much trouble, please submit one design with and one without. I am not a fan of strong pink (in the designs with the dove) - I don't think it will work in the corporate world. Please go richer/deeper. My preference is to have plum as the dominant color. Please see my site chaplaincyservices.org as I've used plum in the header there. Also, I'd appreciate designers to consider universal symbols of spirit (the dove is most closely associated with Christianity). It is critical that people know that my firm is open to all... We offer compassionate care to people of all faiths and no faiths, including Protestantism (acknowledging the many denominations within), Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Judaism (Orthodox, Conservative/Masorti, Reform, Progressive, Humanist, Renewal), Buddhist (various schools and traditions), Hinduism, Islam, Sufism, Bahai, Science of Mind, Humanism, Agnosticism, Atheism and "spiritual but not religious", etc. I am fine with more than 2 colors and something that could work with shadow/3D as well (for website) as well as a 2D logo that I would use in correspondence.
