  Good Evening, Thank you to all of the designers. We are at the eve of the contest and you have produced some great designs. There can only be one winner so if you have have any last minute entries please get them submitted. The winner will be selected by a committee, so I am sure there will be some very heavy deliberation tomorrow. I will post one more time before the contest ends probably around 8:00 am PST.   Good Morning, I have just finished talking with our management team about all the newest submissions As you can see we have eliminated allot of the designs. Many were really good, but just didn't hit the mark we were looking for. The designs that are left are serious contenders. Please look at the notes from the meeting yesterday and try to refine on those ideas. I will be looking at designs over the weekend and give guidance, but I will need to take it to committee on Monday. If you have a wild design throw it in now, it doesn't hurt to try. Only 2 days left. We will not be working Saturday or Sunday and the winner will be picked Monday morning. So now is the time to sharpen your designs. Notes from our meeting: 1. We are going away from the badge logo's. We are now concentrating on the Seal and the mosquito 2. Simplicity is better with the ability to incorporate our original concept 3. The Seal needs to be visible from 30 feet away from a truck. 5 feet away from a uniform. 3. We are looking for now is some of your creative ideas. We like our design, but there have been a couple of submissions that actually made us think of other options. Please keep them coming.   Good Morning Designers, We had a great meeting and loved the new ideas. The contest is getting into crunch time with only 5 days left. Now is the time to bring your best work. If you are just watching, please bring us your work. Notes from our meeting: 1. I mentioned in an earlier post and I will reiterate, We really like the way the new designs are breaking new ground. We want to stay away from anything that looks like our old logo. 2. We asked you to incorporate an image of a mosquito in the design and you did. Thank You. Please continue with that theme. 3, A Team member noticed that one logo was Web 2.0 friendly. We really have to think about some amount of simplicity so that the logo will translate from Trucks to Uniforms to Letterhead. Please message us if you have any questions.

Notes from our meeting: 1. We need to have a prominent mosquito on the Logo. This logo will be on trucks, badges and other forms of ID. 2. We have really enjoyed the attempt at recreating our vision of the logo. Some of you have almost nailed it. Good Job. 3. We are looking for now is some of your creative ideas. We like our design, but there have been a couple of submissions that actually made us think of other options. Please keep them coming.   I have uploaded some more files to help you understand our county. We have green hills. No mountains except for mission peak. No ocean but we have a bay with allot of wetlands. The three bridges are as follows. 1. The Bay Bridge to the North. It is the newest bridge and the bridge that connects Alameda County with San Francisco. 2. The San Mateo Bridge in the middle. This Bridge is very long and is known for being very flat with one large curve 3. The Dumbarton Bridge to the south. This Bridge is flat and straight, but it is in the middle of the marsh lands and is very important for the flow of traffic into Silicon Valley.

  The logo we currently have is the one next to my name. We are trying to re-brand to show that we we will protect Alameda County from a mosquito invasion. The picture we uploaded is an idea, but don't be afraid yo be creative. Your idea maybe better :). Lets see the best of the best . Thanks, -Rob
