Creative Brief

A logo for my new photography business

I am a senior citizen, retired, and I am going to start a business selling my photography images. I need a logo for use on business cards, website, and other places, maybe stationery. I am a nature photographer and also do abstract photography. I am depending on the designers to generate ideas for this. For the wording I would like to use Lucida Handwriting font. I will want to use the Logo with a white and a black background. I would like to see what designers come up with in regard to color as I am open to your creative ideas.

I like acqua colors that are more blue than green. I might like something that uses darker / lighter shades of the same color. Purple or lavender are also on my list of favorites. BUT - surprise me as I am really looking for designers to provided the creativity. Keep in mind that the logo may be on white or dark background. I am not sure if this can even be done, so educate me.

I am a crazy old lady who happens to take lovely photographs. This is my art, my soul, my new profession. (In my prior life I was a research scientist in the pharmaceutical industry). I am really ready to be an artist. Can a logo convey this? Thanks in advance -- Make this fun for both of us!

    Several oh me friends have looked at the work and are impressed with your creativity. Please be sure that what you will deliver is in vector format and that a style for business card and stationery is also supplied. As i previously mentioned, an artist I consulted was not thrilled with the colors I suggested. So, feel free to recast your work in a color of your choice. My thoughts regarding color were just suggestions. So feel free to offer entries that have the colors that you favor. Generally, the "images by" piece should be less prominent than the "Martha" piece. Will be interested in your responses. It is going to be very hard for me to select just one winner! Thanks once again, Martha

    Greetings to all, Several of my friends have given feedback on your work -- everyone is impressed with the creativity you have shown. We have looked at some of the logos on black background and they are difficult to read, in some cases. I see numbers 18 & 19 shows black, white, and gray. Am wondering if gray is a better option, will be interested in your response. Many thanks, Martha

    Greetings to all, Again, I am thrilled with the response and the creativity that you have all demonstrated. The folks putting together my website have requested that the final art be supplied in vector form (as if I knew what this is!) and that the final product also be set up in business card and letterhead format.     I am really impressed what I am seeing so far! Thanks for the effort on these. Upon further thought I think I should relax the font criteria. I would still be interested in ones using Lucida Handwriting but will also be interested in any other script font. Any font used would need to be one available to me on my Mac for signing my images. Great Job so far!
